The LMU IEC Certificate Program aims to equips you with the knowledge, mindset and skills necessary to become an impactful innovator.

Over the course of the last years much has changed at the LMU IEC, while we further developed our strategic profile and expanded our program offerings. We introduced seminars such as the new ImpACTup! course, which aim to offer valuable insights to students from divers study backgrounds and foster innovation and collaboration. However, we also reevaluated some of our existing programs and decided to focus on some of our newer programs.
Therefore, after more than 7 semesters of workshops, lectures and events, the LMU IEC Certificate Program will enter its well-deserved retirement after the winter semester 2024/25.
However, we prepared one more semester of insightful events for you, which also gives you the opportunity to finish your Certificate! Should you be missing only a few points after this semester ends, we will surely find a way for you to acquire them. We usually offer a small essay task in those cases.

Innovation Mindset
The LMU IEC is again cooperating with the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society (RCC) to offer you interesting events with a focus on environmental topics! By attending the following events hosted at the RCC, you can collect points for your IEC Certificate:
- Tuesday Discussion with Lila Sax dos Santos Gomes (Yarrow Global Consulting): 29.10.2024, 04:30 – 05:45PM
- Hiding from the Apocalypse: How the World’s Wealthiest View the Future: 20.11.2024 at 06:30PM
- Tuesday Discussion with Laura Schild von Spannenberg (KfW Development Bank): 21.01.2025, 04:30 – 05:45PM
Each event grants 20 points in the Innovation Mindset Module.
In order to receive the points you have to attend the event and send an E-Mail containing a short (~1 page) essay summarizing your learnings to iec-certificate@som.lmu.de
