Welcome to the LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, a cornerstone of Munich's vibrant innovation ecosystem. Birthed from the EXIST Potentials program by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), our mission is to catalyze collaboration among Munich's ecosystem players. Together, we aim to nurture young entrepreneurs as they embark on creating high-growth companies dedicated to addressing critical global challenges.
In a unique collaboration with the city of Munich, leading global industry giants, consultancies, local entrepreneurial hubs, research laboratories, investors, and key public and political stakeholders, Munich's top three universities (Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (LMU), and Technical University Munich (TUM)) are forging an unparalleled international hub. This initiative is designed to foster tech-based and impact-driven entrepreneurship right here in Munich, setting a global standard for innovation.
Our network thrives through the support of dedicated innovation and entrepreneurship centers: Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), LMU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (LMU IEC), and UnternehmerTUM. Orchestrated and curated by Munich Innovation Ecosystem GmbH, this network is a testament to our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship. Moreover, we are dedicated to expanding our international connections by partnering with higher education institutions worldwide, bolstering Munich's status as a key player in the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Start for Future
Enter the "Start for Future" (SFF) platform - a digital community initiative designed to intertwine Munich’s innovation ecosystem with representatives from all stakeholder groups. This platform not only facilitates connections within our local ecosystem but also extends Munich's reach on an international scale.
