About

a. What is the program about?

The LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (LMU IEC) supports you in developing and innovating your business model together with motivated and first-class trained business student teams. Your start-up will be analyzed for all aspects of the business model, e.g. value proposition, customer segments or revenue streams but also impact. Members of the LMU Munich School of Management will intensively support and coach the student teams so that they develop concrete and innovative recommendations for your business contributing to your business success.

The Business Modelling program is a cooperative project between the Institute for Innovation Management (IIM), the Institute of Human Resource Education & Management (IWP) and the LMU IEC.

b. Benefits for the participants

What does the program offer you as a founder in detail?

  • New ideas for your start-up project or the already existing company
  • Elaboration of recommendations for the concrete implementation of the start-up project
  • Validation of your business assumptions and benchmarking of the business model
  • Detailed development of the business model elements (e.g., market analysis, pricing, net present value)
  • Access to current knowledge in start-up management
  • Development and expansion of your personal network

Your business idea is legally protected by a declaration of confidentiality and a prohibition of exploitation for all parties involved (Faculty of Business Administration and students).

c. Program goals

The program follows two main goals. First, founders will critically reflect their business model and have the opportunity to enhance and sharpen the key content. Second, founders get access to two teams (8 students) that will work with guidance from experienced staff from the LMU Munich School of Management on their business model.
