impACTup!: Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Better Futures” is a curricular course, anchored in various faculties at LMU Munich and offered in an on-demand online format via Moodle. A modular and interactive setup with short input sessions and interactive exercises will allow you to learn how to build better futures through innovating and entrepreneuring in a novel, exciting way. No prior knowledge is needed for this course. The kickoff and closing sessions are held live on-site with an in-person networking event.
The course “impACTup!: Academic Pathways to Impact and Innovation” is the corresponding format to the course “impACTup!: Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Better Futures”, designed for scientific personnel in form of a hybrid workshop. In addition to the fundamentals of impact-oriented entrepreneurship, we provide multiple examples that aim at promoting impact-oriented thinking in teaching and research and strengthening innovative ideas. Participants will receive a reader (see FAQs for further explanation), which acts as their personal toolbox towards impact-oriented thinking. The course has both online and on demand elements. The closing event is held live on-site at the university.
In "Starting Up" you will learn how to realize your own ideas and transform them into a successful business model. Based on what we teach you in our video lectures, you will work together with students from diverse functional background towards a pitch deck for your own business idea.
Students learn how to develop business models (using the Business Model Canvas tool) under qualified supervision and assistance of trained mentors from several institutes of the Munich School of Management. Course participants gain theoretical knowledge and in parallel, they create and develop a business model for real start-ups in small teams. For LMU School of Management students only.
