LMU Elects New Vice Presidents

Starting October 1, LMU will have a new Vice President for Entrepreneurship, underscoring the growing importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and research transfer at LMU.

Dr. Philipp Ewald Baaske has been elected as the new Vice President for Entrepreneurship at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. His appointment is part of a broader leadership renewal, as the University Council unanimously approved nine Vice Presidents based on the proposal of incoming President Professor Matthias Tschöp.

In his new role, Dr. Baaske will be responsible for driving innovation and startup initiatives at LMU, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship across disciplines. The new leadership team’s six-year term begins on October 1, 2025.
