Female Founders Meetup

When starting a business, women and men initially face the same obstacles, such as financing, bureaucratic hurdles, or lack of expertise. However, many women also encounter gender-specific challenges and prejudices—especially regarding the balance between work and family. As a result, women still start businesses differently and less frequently than men. They tend to enter different industries (socially relevant, socially or environmentally oriented), are more likely to start businesses as a side venture, and often establish companies as solo founders.

The Female Founders Meetup aims to encourage (aspiring) female entrepreneurs to pursue their path to successful business creation. The event is specifically designed to meet the needs of female founders and provides space for honest exchange and networking opportunities.

What to Expect:

• Workshops with practical knowledge relevant to business creation and management—focusing on the unique challenges female entrepreneurs face
• Expert speakers who answer questions and facilitate connections
• Networking opportunities with other female founders (supported by the EXIST-Women program) from across Bavaria
